Sterling Silver, Vermeil and 14k:

Proper care and maintenance is necessary for any fine jewelry and preventative care is a must. It is best to store your Gogo collection in individual airtight bags with anti-tarnish properties. However, we do understand a busy lifestyle can sometimes prevent the proper care and storage of these pieces.  In the event your piece has tarnished, we recommend using Goddard's Silver Dip or simply using a jewelry cloth to remove any tarnish from your piece.

Alpaca and Tumbaga:

The beautiful silver luster of Alpaca usually maintains itself but can slightly oxidize over time. Many of our clients love the delicate patina Alpaca will achieve through oxidation. If you prefer that silver shine we recommend using a metal polish such as MAAS or TARNEX on both your Alpaca and Tumbaga. This will return the original shine of your piece. In a pinch even LEMON JUICE can be used to polish these beautiful pieces.
Both metals are made of a combination of Copper, Nickel, Brass and Zinc. They have different ratios of these metals to create the Silver hue in Alpaca and the Gold hue in Tumbaga. Because they are composed of these types of metals we DO NOT recommend using silver polish on either Alpaca or Tumbaga. Doing so will result in the metals permanent tarnishing and discoloration.
